Breezier Companion privacy policy
Last updated
Breezier Companion is provided by DeepNow, Inc. This policy covers the extension's recording features. Our Privacy Policy explains account, billing, AI processing, service providers, retention, and privacy rights across Breezier.
What the extension does
Breezier Companion works together with the Breezier web recorder. While you record a video in a Breezier workspace you have connected, it notes where your pointer is and what you click so that Breezier can draw a smooth cursor, add callouts, and zoom into your actions when the video is produced.
What is captured, and when
Only while a recording you started is running, in the Chrome tab you selected (including its embedded frames):
- pointer positions, click positions, and control bounds, as fractions of the captured tab;
- the visible label and role of a control you clicked or activated with the keyboard, such as “Save” (never field values);
- the moments you scrolled or moved to another page.
It never captures keystrokes, form values, passwords, page HTML, screenshots, or web addresses. Control labels are the only page text collected. Fields and regions marked private carry positions only. Outside a recording it collects no interactions.
Where the data goes
Interaction batches are held in browser session storage so a sleeping extension worker does not lose them. They are removed from the extension when recording ends or the recorder closes; closing Chrome also clears them. The recorder keeps the returned track in memory until you press “Create my video”. It is then sent only to the Breezier workspace that started the recording, where it is stored with your video and used to render it. DeepNow does not sell this interaction data or use it for advertising. Service providers may process it to operate Breezier, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting a project removes its interaction data and files that no other project or publication still references; backup and legal retention exceptions are described in that policy.
Why it needs access to all websites
A selected Chrome tab can navigate between websites, including embedded pages. The extension needs website access to track that selected tab across navigation. Other tabs do not contribute interactions. Only websites you explicitly connect by clicking the toolbar icon can start a session or read the data.
Your controls
Stop a recording to stop collection. Disconnect a workspace or remove the extension in your browser to prevent future captures. Removing the extension does not delete recordings already uploaded to Breezier. Delete those projects in the workspace or contact support for help with a privacy request.
